Hey -
Thanks to all who came to the last preliminary slam this past friday. Great crowd! Amazing feature from George Watsky! Congrats to Devin, Taylor and Melinda for placing in the top three, earning points towards making it to Youth Grand Slam in April!!!
This week! We’ve got back to back youth demonstration slams. Come on down and support the youth movement in Worcester!
Tomorrow – Tuesday, December 15th, Worcester Public Library 6:30-8:30pm – we’ll have an open mic and a demonstration poetry slam!
Wednesday, Deember 16th, Rutland Public Library 4pm-5:30pm
Links to these libraries are posted on the show schedule at: www.worcesteryouthslam.com
All teens who participate will earn a point towards making the youth grand slam finals. (a point is the same as placing third in a monthly prelim slam)
Both libraries are making generous donations to our group to help with registration and travel to Brave New Voices Festival. If we bring some folks out and put on a great show, we’re sure to be invited back. Let’s help spread the good words!
Youth Slam Merchandise will be available for all you semi-last minute holiday shoppers!
Hope to see you there!
